rear suspension mk4 vw

anyone done the rear suspension on mk4 vw, looks like coilovers wont fit between body and wheel. comes with spring shock seperate factory. spacers are janky.

Loo around for discussions for "Fraud Fuckus" or Ford or something like that. They too have room only for a skinny shock so the solution is to slit a hunk -o-truck exhaust and weld in a half tube into the inner fender. Truck exhaust is like .088" so more than 2 times as thick as car skin, and replacing a ------ with an arch twice as think isn't going to hurt.

got it. no need to look up fuckus. i might print that out frame it like fine art! has that kind of mental artist look to it. but will def solve all issues.

I've been called worse.
On the flat flange of the "Omega" do a series of snips so you can hammer them flat to conform to the shape of the inner fender wall in short sections rather than stretching the metal as a one piece thing.
In those little D shaped ears at the top, don't forget to give yourself socket clearance, but don't get carried away or the upper spring seat will be clangin' against the tower roof...
