At least you can put the magnets on the back of the wheel studs and the sensor though the backing plate. On the damn SAAB we've got wheel bolts and the fender is too tight to get a wheel on when studs are installed.

We've been running our primary magnets on the circumference of the drum. Fragile as all get out, but they have lasted one event so far. We've got backup magnets on the output flange of the trans as there isn't a lot of room there with the ancient style CJ joints SAAB used in the '60s.

So far neither of them have been accurate, but I think that has more to do with our flakey modded 1971 Terratrip box than the sensors.
