I stumbled upon this the other day when I was searching to find some rotisserie plans, seemed very cool how simple it was at first, but has anyone tried this before? With the cage in, it's a bit much for one person to tip up, but it worked great to tip it and strip the underbody, seam weld, and weld backing plates for the harnesses. After I built it, I cut some off the tops of the side rests to get it a bit more angled, just to make sure it didn't fall back over. Please Login or Register to post a reply

Def need a few people around when the car gets rotated, but once in place, seemed reasonably stable. We found this method to be about 1/2" too short for the hatchback compact (scratched up the back edge of the roof a bit), but for traditional cars with a trunk, it'd probably be just fine.
