So we hop up everything else but has there yet been a discussion about the wipers?

I did notice a team that had relocated the cleaner nozzles directly onto the wiper arms- I plan to do that.

Has anybody ever modified the springs to get more pressure and less wiper lift at speed?

I've noticed newer subarus have defroster heater elements that live in the glass under the wiper rest area, this seems genius. I want to retrofit that to my cars.

I've never really found the wiper defrosters did anything useful on my Forester. Even here in Canuckistan.

Careful about increasing spring tension. Unless you know the motors and linkage can take it. And most OEM stuff ain't very burley.

My old RX-7 had an extra sprayer installed and a second washer tank with pump. It seemed like overkill, but did work great.

Seems like there's plenty of other areas worth attending to before worrying too much about this one. smiling smiley

But, if you wanted to get creative, how about a single, variable length wiper blade? Think of the weight savings! Or maybe a windshield with a continuously rolling piece of plastic over it? Kind of like a tear-off on a helmet?

Power buff the windshield and wax it. But don't build up too much heat while buffing. Seriously.
