Dave "Bigger MUST be better-er" Kern for the no1 BMW car....

Those will go great with his plus 3.5" towers and 10" travel shocks or +6" towers and 12" shocks in rear that will result in many popped CVs and eventually a $1500 pair of halfshafts...
The 40s must not have been performing to his liking on stage. Well, I guess I better take them and put them on my daily driver since I know where they are.

I think the aboriginals are going on one of the other 318s and then another set (which I have to drill the holes in the parts---which are done already) will go in the 3rd 318 waiting..
And I think the fronts were "perfect straight out of the box".

40mm fronts were just fine! Rears were good too after fiddling with bumpstops. Not ordering new stuff for my car now...that stuff is for Ted. The car ran fine with the extra bit of droop on the shocks of Stig, but when trying to gain some additional bump travel, the result was that it lost an inch of droop. No reason not to try and improve on tower placement on compact 2.0.

I will however probably get a set of 50s for the front of my car and move the 40s over to the 4cyl compact when these become available...or when I need spare to take to an actual rally.

I think I ordered some, how much will they be?

And are the 40s unobtanium now and maybe we should upgrade the old struts to 50s also?

I don't know much about shock and strut design/fabrication, but these things look great, John.

What would be some totally ballpark/guesstimate price figures for a set of 4 for an Xratty and a 92-00 Civic(if you do them, if even necessary in that little car, etc)? I'm in the planning stages and trying to get ideas on prices...Still up in the air between a FWD or RWD G2 car.(I know what you'll suggest winking smiley )
