Nope but I haven't deposited that check because I am increasingly uncertain we can make the date for Sandy Blast, and unsure what that meas for the order.

I am ready whenever but would be nice to know projected costs on these things and the associated parts to service them down the road should stuff get dinged up a bit.

I agree, it'd be nice to know projected costs. I should ring the chrome plares. and hit "send" on the bronze but chips should be flying on the "special needs" tubes soon--later today or tomorrow.

Piccies will come as soon as I load the software into this machine.
But:
A)new tubes including 4 rear Subie length, 6 BMW length and 6 or so "normal" (Subie/VW/Volvo/Toyota removable) length done and in the car to drop off for plating.

B.) 21 shock shafts cut for screwdriver slot

C) 21 strut bodies back from chrome plating..

So as soon as I can pack alll the shafts and pistons and circlips and guts, the inserts can be sent down to Bilstein for valving and assembly..

Bilstein as of yesterday is about 7 weeks out on delivery

Blake, find the reciepts on the shocks you sent and get a copy to me...
William Timmins, you're going to miss your chance to get the shock shafts modded since you haven't got the shafts here...

Let's get what the top pins for each of you guys want nailed down:
A) 20mm big "Ford GrA pin" for mounting into 7/8" spherical bearing
B.) 15mm bearing seat for "Subie" style ball bearing mount
C) what have you????

AJ Audi? ..................................4 struts Audi ears+ steering arms
Blake Celica? ...........................2 struts ?? Ears
John Reed Corolla? 2 struts........2 struts....Subie
Rebecca Audi?..........................4 struts Audi ears+ steering arms
Dave Kern................................4 struts...fawking annoying BMW muffler clamps
Simon Wright............................4 struts Subie ears-----Subie tops

Now that the chroming is done, its REALLY time for more moolah from EVERYBODY

It came in more than was quoted for simple chroming, they polished the hell out of the things which I had said not to do, but they adjusted the price $300 but it was still around $33 per tube..

So youse guys, dig around in the couch and between the seats in the car and scrape some $$ up..

Now to find the software for downloading piccies from the camera.

Checked bank records and looks like you got the check from me.

Do I need to choose tops or is your plan to do the same deal as before?

Any word on making those offset top hats?

Muffler clamps? Isn't that the way the old E30 fronts are? You're doing up the same ears as the ones you did for me...though maybe a little bit different offset so we've got a tad more camber built into them, right?

Yeah Dave I gotcher check...

I reckon you're getting 20mm pin and I'll see the guy tamale (chilly today, hot tamale, eh) about the offset tops, so that'll call for some more moolah.. 4 or 5 would be smrat.

As for the muffler clamps on your fawking thing, my beautiful jig I made has to be re-jigged cause the thing was made to put 40s 52mm OD tube in the exact right place...Now with 5o inserts and 62mm outside on the tubes the centerline is different, the radius is different and you want more clearence..
Gawddam Nazi junk Maybe i can look at some of the big spender's suspenders to check centerline distances...

Should be looking to get 4 minimum. LMK pricing on those and I'll get with the other compact owner and see what he wants to do.

Here's #s from an email on spacing/tilt of the hub to strut:

I pulled the spacers I've been using at the bottom of the strut and measured them at 5.65mm thick. My thought is that if you're able to change that mounting angle slightly, we might be able to get away with more normalish camber #s to start with. Not sure if it makes sense to move the other pickup point near the bottom as well to create more tire clearance? I've not had any tire clearance issues, but thought I might if I tried to run some fatter rubber. I've only had 195s on it so far.

Also, both of us just ordered up new wheels and we bumped the offset ~10mm, so that should allow for even more tire clearance at the strut side.

Pretty piccies:

Dont pay any attention to those super long things in the back, I deny that there will be 12" travel on a car in near furure, that's crazy talk, that's up in the WRC league.

What would an ordinary schmuck Clubbie guy do with 12" travel?

Crazy talk.smoking smiley
