I'm using a SAAB one that I stole from John Van, when he co-drove for me at my first doo wops.
I've only had to use it twice, in fact i'm going home to spray Jazz all over it tonight.

flat 1 mi from flying finish and flat less than mile from final stage flying finish.

It has a weird lip that is supposed to slide into a notch on the saab under body.
most of the time this notch is crushed by jack asses using a floor jack, so the spare jack has no where to sit.

You could weld an adapter to the top of the screw jack. but more importantly, I'm going to attach a 3/16" aluminum plate to the bottom so It will stand easier on gravel.

The standard jack used by everybody and damn near 100% of WRC cars for 30+ years is the VW type1 Bilstein "Monkey on a pole"

Its simple, and can be made high lift, and if kept somewhat clean, its fast, especially fast to the point you're actually jacking the car not twirling the fawking jack just to get into position.
You poke it in your prepared holes in the side of the car, slide the pole thing down
till it hits and begin jacking.

You can see one in the back of that GpB Celica in the Finnish restoration site, and youi see them in many of the Ford photos in my site..

Hey Muchachacitos! If you boys would download and study the Ford Motorsport Build manuals that our wayward cousin Paddy slaved for hours over a hot scanner to scan and upload, then you'd see in every one of them that there's clear piccies of the old type1 VW jack.
Here's the first manual I came to: F@ FWD Escort

Or Escort Cossie GpA:

Ebay search "VW Bilstein Jack":

Details:

Now go print out all those Ford manuals, they just show what everybody was doing for 25 years, everybody used the same parts,
ALL WILL BE REVEALED!

(If you bother to use the resources sitting right here.)

I see now ...I call them a pole jack...I've made a list of things I need to keep an eye on in rally..My few rallys I have done a jack was down on the list... And the flats that I have had I didn't lift just keep going...But thats not allways the best way to go if you have a flat..Thanks John

And yes the Ford Motorsports Build Manuals are good .. I have some of them..

That'll be good for the next car, but I don't have any of those neat holes to put it into unfortunately....guess I'll have to build another scissor jack and make sure it is lubed a little better next time.

Just make some holes for it ... You well not be happy with a scissor jack trust me... JV's right..You will do what evryone does on your first flat... Put the scissor jack on the hand crank..Slide it under the car ..And a) it will fall over ,,Or cool smiley the hand crank well come off the jack ..Ether way you well be cralling under the car to go get the jack...

Rally is a contact sport and a sport that you win or loose by seconds ..Never for get that... Every second counts..

I've got a scissor jack with a big plate on the bottom and a ratchet welded to the crank. It doesnt fall over and the crank stays on.

I use a scissor jack with a plate welded on the bottom for support and a 19mm bolt head welded on (same size as the lugs). I use an 18V gun to lift the car and we have done a wheel change in under a minute. Cheap and it works great.
