One hard line from F master to T thence to both fronts.

One line out from R master to brake limiter thence to handbrake IN then from handbrake OUT to rear firewall T then out to both wheels. Simple routing.
What sizes did you get, that's where the fun starts.

Yes what sizes did you go with.

I routed mine just as John said but with full hardline

Pretty much what John said. Although I just downsized to a non-ABS Subie MC with 4 channels. Two went to the fronts, one was blocked off, and one went to the rear.

I used hard lines too at first. But had a failure of the fittings between the brake limiter (proportioning valve) and the handbrake. The space between was tight with awkward angles and getting this hardline to mate perfectly was nigh impossible.

It's hard to see but that line goes in 3 dimensions. Well, at ESPR, under tarmac braking conditions, one of the fittings failed and we started puddling brake fluid into Kieran's footwell. Not good.

Once I got the car home (with no brakes at all!) I had a custom length of flex line made and replaced the kinky hard line:

Oh, and notice the bulge in the handle of the proportioning valve? Those Wilwood handles don't bend, they break. Some sort of alloy. Fortunately weldable. Ask me how I know!

Good luck.

Limiter? Are you doing a balance bar or just dual masters.

If he's not a sizing ex-spurt---and there's just one.seven five around here, he better have a limiter in the rear circuit---you may use the posher term "proportioning valve"

What exactly failed? The fitting cracked? line was leaking at the fitting?

Leaking at the fitting. But not truly discovered until rally was almost over. Being a new car (to me) I wasn't quite sure what to expect from the brakes. So the fault wasn't really discovered until later in the day.

The fittings were pretty much wrenched tight so I don't think there was much improvements to be made by wrenching on them even more. Decided the geometry didn't really lend itself to a hard line being there. Hence the switch to a flex line at that point (and some judcious use of a spatial adjuster on the bracket to permit better clearance).

Stomping on it on the street it seems to work great - much better feel than before.

I am sure that someone will "correct" me, but I run all flex lines with -3AN fittings. My entire system is made up of 2 lengths of hose that is easily obtained from about a half a bazillion circle track/drag race shops. That includes the lines out to the calipers. I carry 1 spare of each in the car and a handful of each in the service spares.

It's slightly more expensive but infinitely easier to deal with it you have a failure during a rally.

Mine are plumbed as John described, no proportioning valve though just the balance bar on the pedals. Not sure if you talked to them yet but Tilton was very helpful calculating my m/c sizing. I gave them all the measurements they asked for and i bought their recomendation. I run my brake pressures pretty much even front/rear and while I won't claim it is perfect for everyone the car does brake very well and feels good to me.

What calipers do you have on the car? See if any info in this thread helps: Subaru Master Cylinder sizing
