Yeah, cars are surprisingly thin.

Yeah.. no doubt, but that's still within the range of .024. If I was just playing with the body panels (stitching) I really wouldn't question it and just throw my little .024 roll in for that.

Mostly just wondering if anyone had a favorite between the two for the round bits and the floor plates.

Good point Grant. The MM175 charts don't really show much for the 'good ranges' for each wire. After a bit of hunting through a few other books it seems this stuff is right at the higher end of .030's normal work range. (Damn Jeeper used to building stuff out of 3/16" or better winking smiley ).


In other news.. finally got the real 1/2 lats bent up and one of the notched and tacked in place. Used a combination of Grant's method and the starter template from bend-tech for the notch.
