Ironically enough, I check out the rally boards to keep myself motivated to build the Galant, but all this ITB talk lately has me wanting to leave it alone and finish the Talon. ITBs just, they just make a four-banger sound evil.

you can find Hayabusa TBI's on ebay for $150 or less quite often. A little adaption and your off and running.

Have you considered doing a 1.8 engine swap? Whatever you do to add torq, be careful with those tiny gtx gearboxes!

Don't worry Chris. When the gearbox explodes I'm proubably going to do a BPT swap or possibly this:

I actually have a complete alltrac with a screwed up title...might even be cheaper to use the drivetrain from it and part out the rest.

Ha! that link sounds about right -- the cheapest and easiest way to get a stouter gearbox in a GTX. Might even be worth doing with the BPT, as those gearboxes are only marginally better, from what I've heard.

Have fun loading it up with throttle bodies and other goodies.

BTW, i've been riding with Andy and Bart recently. if you are intersted, its thurs nites, oakland hills with a couple of good single track bits.
