School me on Windscreens
November 07, 2013 11:51PM
Sooz, Im Uber newb and have started the ludicrous process of building a car that has no reason being built. I have a fairly straigth handle on the cage and interior work I am allowed/required to do, however I have an issue with my window glass, primarily that of the front windshield. Any precious insight would be helpful gentz.

lol well i guess my question is, does it need to be some super, high-speed, crazy, indestructable, insert crazy scientific name here, type of windshield or will I be ok with just a standard OEM type of glass? I saw some verbage along the lines of "shatterproof blah blah blah" in the NASA? rulebook and just wanted some sort of clearity for it.

It has to be a stock laminated glass windshield. The rest of the windows can be Lexan if you so desire.
