Um how does that work? Free 84 GTI?.. my hope is to pickup either an aircooled dub, a rabbit or a clean mk3 2dr next spring and drive it home from the PNW

No not free. I've got an 84 GTI here in Pendleton Oregon with a 2.0 16v swapped in, 4 wheel discs etc. Put her up for 2700$ and apparantly rust free straight bodied (but still needs paint) rabbits are so common in the PNW that it hasn't been worth anyones time to go the 200 miles to pick this one up. (I"m in the middle of nowhere cowboy country, if it ain't a truck the locals don't want it)

If its still here this fall, I'm gonna start a full monty resto on it.

and she's on the road!! First competition shake down (high speed autox) is coming up on Sunday!

Thanks so much! Keep at it! Took me 5 years to get it to this point. I'm sure the stang will get there someday. Just do one thing everyday and you'll get there!

All these years and you can't even get that right...
I'll try again: beating on anything out in the woods is fun...

But that doesn't mean people can't have MORE fun with some things which are MORE FUN.

Try to get away from simple 'Merikun black white thinking, and if you can't do that at least don't attribute simplistic shit like that to me.
