GC8 group A photos

Im trying to hunt down some photo's of these cars, basically underbody photos and anything in the way of detailed parts photos. There is plenty of pictures of the wrc stuff (especially GD chassis) but can't seem to find much on these older sub-a-rats.

I know John V seems to have all sorts of cool photos and building advice straight from ford on the group A escorts, was wondering if there was anything similar for the subie crowd?

Every once and a while you'll catch a GC for sale on subaruwrcspares.com with some decent pics.

A lot of google searching, prodrive open house days, speed-hunters, etc. will get you some nice photos of engine bits and suspension stuff.

SubaruWRCSpares has a parts list of GroupA stuff that has a prodrive manual buried in there. I think I have the PDF laying around. Has some nice engineering assembly pictures in there.

You must not have looked very far. He wanted underbody diagrams. There is a beautiful one in that first PDF.

Yes, it's not a full service manual, but its a great starting point. Find out what the part numbers are, find out what the "official name" is that is desginated by Prodive. Use that to google and you'll start finding photos of specific components for sale, or just being used as reference in forum topics.

They have the Richard Burns car at dirt fish in the lobby....

Sean if I had more time and money I would figure out an excuse to go check it out, sadly I don't.

I thought that was an S10 WRC? Unless he did both? Would be curious to see the GC8 ones.
