I thought that everyone knew Al was an instigator. Shipping how to build race car books to some punk who shows up on a forum (me) Guy would have a rally car in every garage in America if he could.

Sharing a shop with a fellow rallyist sounds pretty rad to me!

after much ado, I tihnk that the subframe needs to come up a little higher.

actually have been productive. decided the subframe is good the fuck enough.

various body panels have found there way on. Rear flares 80% done.

Although, i spent a few hours hacking metal to make room for the suspension, and not even done with one side yet.... geh.

tell ya what, i kinda want to do some that doesn't require this much work for the next car....

Solid axle...
However what your doing is rather cool!

Its a good thing that you have been productive because I sure as hell haven't. Found a couple distractions as of late. eye rolling smiley

That's why I like the 3 link. The lower links are close enough to good, just need to cut a little and weld one tower to the top of the rearend, make a box (or if you're a slacker like me, a bracket and a mudflap to cover the hole), and $50 worth of rod ends and swedge tube from Summit. That's assuming that you want to go fancy instead of making a link out of cut-up OE upper links, like I used to do. But adjusting pinion angle that way requires cutting and welding, and hoping that you measured right this time.

Remember, I spent all of two or three 8 hour days doing the front suspension AND 3-link conversion on my current car... and that included a bogus attempt at making the front cover engine mount work, and a bogus attempt at making a Panhard rod. I use the mid engine mounts and the Watts now because they work, and are already there. I'll sacrifice some theoretical gains for practicality.

i need a shorter spring up front.

anywho, car is at a friends shop for some knock out stuff I can't handle will working and taking summer classes. Namely, gussets, sunroof panel, steering column con vivificador, and the cursed front diff mount thing.

Then it is coming back to Santa Rosa for me to finish the rear towers and start making it more complete looking.

negatron, its a 415 number now.

basically need to have these inner tie rod to outer heim joint adapters made. Local place didn't want to muck around with the 304.

here is a picture just for the idea of whats going on. essentially, i would need you to remake the goldish in almost the same length from the 304. Two of them (one for each side). Then bored and tapped so that my metric inner tie rod threads in on one side and the SAE hiem goes into the other.
