So you wanna cage an Impreza...

Okay, here's the current spec of building a GC cage using a JD2 Model 3 bender with the 1.75 by 5.5 radius 180 degree die. I wish there was some good way to insert tables into forums but okay.
The -3.5" is the mark point if you want to use the outer part of U clamp instead of trying to line the mark point up with the end of the die.

Here's Ryan Sealey's car that used these build specs as well.
The roof bars I measure the length and bend them at like 10" or so and 15-20 degrees or somewhere in there.

Where does this spec. put the feet of the main hoop? On the floor or up on the back seat base?

Like this is how mine end up. Trim half lateral, main hoop, to get placement, angle, fit, etc.
