There's a good chance that I might be flying in to the Seattle area to pick up a Toiletta rust-free rolling shell, so I'm starting to skim Craigslist for a tow vehicle to drag it back to Wisconsin.
I ran across this, figured I'd post it. Dunno how great it would be to fab up a towbar and drag the corolla behind it, but if it's decently clean and just needs some brakes, it might just be the ticket. I'm still working on securing the Toiletta, and I don't know how long this car'll stay up there, or even if it's a good deal (the obo part makes me think it might be!) http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/2771534793.html --sarge ---** To be in compliance with the Anarchy **--- Jorden R. Sure he'll survive. This is a great way to get a more or less rust free car out to where they're rare. It's only 1500 miles, average 50 mph it's only 30 hours or a good day and a half driving. I'm still waiting to hear from the guy with the clean Toiletta shell (in Olympia). I've offered him a deposit to secure the car, I'm hoping we can nail that down ASAP. Once that's done, phone calls will be made, and I'll start searching in earnest for the tow vehicle and checking flight schedules.
A couple years ago, I flew out to Bozeman Montana, got a clean AWD Mazdog running (wiring/ecu/rear main seal/clutch/heater core/gauges), and drove it back through a couple blizzards and a bunch of rain (When I passed through Fargo, the city was being evacuated from the flooding, and as I was coming into town, the water was only about a foot below the surface of the interstate.). What SHOULD have been a 16-hour drive ended up being a 22-hour nonstop drive, except for coffee/fuel breaks. It was a fun adventure, and I got to meet some good people. There's even MORE people to finally meet in the Seattle and surrounding area, I'm really looking forward to it. ---** To be in compliance with the Anarchy **--- Jorden R.
