You have three options, as I see it.
1) Keep doing what you're doing and nothing good will come. 2) Sell it and move the fuck on with your life. 3) Keep it, and fix it. It could take days, weeks, or years... but you will have fixed it, and you'll have a rally car. Has anyone actually came and LOOKED at the car? Like, anyone who actually knows WTF they're talking about? If you just give up.... you give up. Who want's to do that? Welcome to the cult of JVL drink the koolaid or be banned. |

Get all that shizz off the damn island, catalog it (take pictures, get part numbers, post stuff online), and sell it. Your biggest obstacle is that you can't get to the stuff without an expensive ferry ride. Somehow limp that bent shell and pile of parts off the island. The second issue is that you just don't quite know the market enough or have the wrenching experience to maximize your return. Not a criticism or slam, just the reality of the situation. If your goal is to get a little liquid funds to pay your Samoan attorney, having the parts on the I-5 corridor is going to be waaaaaaaaay more conducive to reaching that goal.
If you could simply arrange transport to the mainland, you'd probably have an Anarchista or two who would show up with a wad of $20s. If I was 3000 miles closer, I would be. Or call San Juan Island's Sanford and Son and have them smoosh the whole pile and give you $300 scrap value. Good luck! I really mean that. You've had enough fecal matter impact the spinning blades. The one without the difflock motor is a bpt (or possibly a gtr but unlikely. Rare, those are) trans with (theoretically, depending on how it's been abused) a viscous centerdiff. You can tell it's not a standard b6t box by comparing the bellhousings. The bpt boxes still have the locking shaft, they just don't put a difflock motor on them. I should prolly buy it as a spare for my street car.

yeah, the top one is BPT of some sort, the bottom one is B6T or N/A Protege 4WD.
Top axle is the intermediate/jackshaft and passenger axle, possibly for the BPT. I don't know if the 1.6 setup ever had an intermediate shaft, or if it just had one long passenger-side axle. bottom axle looks like a rear axle, as there were stubs coming out of the rear diff that it bolts to. I'd be interested in the trans, but I already have some. I'm sure some Mazdog dude with a hard-on for the BF will pick it up sooner or later.... --sarge ---** To be in compliance with the Anarchy **--- Jorden R. Naw, no way, just a happy Dad. But van bogart said the right thing way back: cut the damaged shit out and zap in a panel and sell the gawddam car as a gawddam rally car. 1 second search and look at the potential donors (who'da thunk it?)
