The car is still available. I really need to clear the space for some other projects that I want to start. So how does $6,500 sound?

Damn. That is ridiculous. Can you just call it a Subaru?

Nope. To reliable to be a Subaru. It will need some cage updates (door x gussets and a pillar bars) and the usual tlc maintenance for a car that gets driven little. I will be driving at hyper fest in few weeks if it's still here.

Let me get this straight....

Cage= $2500 or at least $1000 and 40++ man hours.
Coil overs=$2000
Seats=$800
Tire wheel combo=$800
terra trip=$100
Custom dash=$100 plus time
Lexan windows=$100 plus time
Supra diffs=$300
All the power flex and solid mounting stuff=$500
saab radiator=$100
Intercooler=$100
Fuel pump=$100

What are we up to? $7,500

Plus all the other nick nack crap probably adds how much $$$$?

Plus allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the time you save not having to do it yourself!!!!!!eye popping smileyeye popping smileyeye popping smiley

No I'd rather build a (insert car here) because of (insert stupid reason here). When you could be on stage in a few months vs a few years (that will probably lead to never getting on stage anyway???)

I don't get it. I guess I feel a little responsible Matt. I do a shitty job driving mine and no one thinks they can be competitive never mind the most important thing............FUN!!!

Oh but they are ugly...... eye rolling smiley

How many rallies have you done in it anyway?

Mark. drive better.. Out here in the West we have the New and Improved Dave Clark driving the old Sean Medcroft car and beating all kinds of cars...

And curiously never a word about how well the car works and has worked...

I might be interested in this- if it has an SCCA logbook, why are cage updates needed? It should meet the "grandfathering" rules, no?

Has there been any more interest in this car since Dave Clark won the 2WD class at Idaho Rally in his XR beating out a BRZ, a mini cooper, a golf, a 2wd lancer, etc, etc?

Plenty... but all I got out of Matt was a single email response saying that it's still for sale followed by complete silence. Maybe something has come up, or he's sold it, I don't know.

Sorry Sir, but you are not allowed to get another rally car until you finish off the RX-7....or someone shoots you after going delirious from that damn idle.

Rally on!

I'd like a number to reach him at. I'm trying to get to black river and my Merkur doesn't even have a cage yet. Picking up this car won't save me much money, but it would save me a lot of time. That is pretty much the same thing as money. All Matt needs to do is shut up and take my money.

Sorry to everyone. I have been slammed at work and haven't kept up here or with email like I should. Car is still available and ready to go. Honestly I don't put much effort into early email discussions on the car anymore ( no offense to anyone) it's irritating to answer a bunch of questions then have omens ask if I'll help with shipping to the UK, trade for guns, etc.

The car has an scca log book. Marcel and I have discussed cage update needed so here's a good indecent source of information on that. It's important that the car goes to someone that will race it.
