Someone I know is looking for a stock XR4Ti differential for a non-rally project. If you've got one you'd like to get rid of let me know!

I've got one, I think it has a bit of a whine to it. Where does it need to end up?

Quakertown, Pennsylvania. I gave the guy JVL's number so that he can make sure that it's what he needs, maybe we'll wait for the results of that conversation.

Know someone who might be driving to NJ this weekend from up here in the north. Otherwise they are a pain to ship.

Thomaso yours is an ordinary manual trans one , right? 3.64 ratio..

That's the big question if the guy want that or the autotragic 3.36 ratio...

But either way yeah be good if it could get transported closer cause man it pricey send them by UPS..
Ah! Dood check with Greyhound package express..I think it way better-er rate...

He needs it to replace a stock Sierra diff, I believe it's a 3.64- John, I told him to call you since he seemed unsure whether the UK Sierra unit was identical to the Merkur one.

Oh we had a long and at times hysterical talk.. He's a Geordie and we talked about diffs and that he could use a USDM manual diff...and talked about regional dialects in England and the next generation after us and the ones that need their pacifers in their hand 20 hours out of 24...
And the machining world and easing back as age advances--he's actually a bit older than me...
I found him numerous diffs for cheap on Flea Bay UK and splained which models have what ratios....

Its going in a Caterham 21 which is a rather rare thing...Has a revvy little Rover K-series engine so they would be loadsa laughs with a 3,9 (like from a base 2,0 Sierra) or a 4,27 from a 16V Scorp instead of the 3,62 he now has but the main thing is one "not fucked with".

Personally my approach would be to drive the thing until the diff explodes/doesn't so that we could determine if there's anything wrong in the first place- but then again I'm not the guy with the incredibly cool, incredibly rare Caterham.
