Short story, no time or energy to keep daily driver going, so did the American thing and got a payment book on a 2021 Crosstrek so I can have an uneventful commuting experience.

Sellout!

I felt like I sold out when I bought my pickup truck 3 years ago. Driven only old cars since ‘87 otherwise.

On the other hand, nice NOT having to do anything but add fuel and change oil.

Opel is a 4-letter word...

I kind of wanted a mid-sized pickup truck, but since Nissan stopped putting a stick shift in the Frontier, and Tacomas and (Joey, do you like movies about) Gladiators are $40k, I went for something with enough ground clearance and traction for mud season.

Now I just need somebody to buy the Volvo so I can buy snow tires! Señor Mendham gave me a bunch of WRX wheels, so as soon as the Volvo is liquidated, I can get some 225/65 or 215/70 16 snows and be INVINCIBLE!!!!
