I was down at Checkpoint sitting on the toilet last night and started looking at the two OMP FIA homologated roll cages for the E30s sitting in the bathroom. Mitch's old partner was quite good at ordering product for no apparent reason and since he had an E30 rally car with a horrible cage that needed replaced and since they were ordering in an entire container of shit, he figured he'd order himself a new cage, plus two additional ones for some odd reason. I have no clue what Mitch is selling them for, but I do know that he's going to Rally Tennessee in two weeks to race and would probably be willing to bring it out for anyone that might be interested, you may consider calling him.

Grant, somebody should PM Wilson von Kessler who jsy happens to have picked up a couple of E30s. He's a big time Attorney making money by the wheelbarrow load so he's probably buy them on the spot especially if they could be dropped off.

Tell 'em.
Maybe I'll call him and tell him and let ya know.

Both E30s are caged. One is sitting down in Canton, GA, getting the cage updated and seat brackets being put in by Mike Hooper. Bad news is it will not be ready by Rally Tennessee.

Good news is the Silver Colt will be running with Stu Wood behind the wheel and his old man co-driving for the first time. Good father-son bonding in my book. Also good news is that I'll be doing course car duties for the "combo-car" which runs after the bikes, but before the cars to clear the course and act as the car 0.

As to oodles of money, one of the reasons I'm not running RTN competitively is the new (to us) house we moved into over the weekend.

I saw that those cages were for sale, and they piqued my interest. I may ask around.

Have you found out what Checkpoint is selling these for? I have a buddy who is building an E30 right now. Can't hurt to find out what one costs.

The real question was, why was I in the bathroom. smiling smiley
It's a really big bathroom. Probably bigger than my bedroom. Part of the cage is hanging from a wall in the shop area though.

Don't be getting high in the bathroom staring at BMW cages. Next thing you know you'll be thinking it's a really good idea to start building an E30!
