I know it's not greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen! BUT! On the otherhand, the black would make for a great background for an airbrush mural of you with giant muscles, conquestidor style holding a sword to the sky with a babe with tattered, skantily clad clothing holding onto your leg.

You know I've heard of those Volvos having overdrive issues because the flywheel needed surfaced...

Pardon me for saying so but that's a pretty ugly wagon, and for that fact all 240's look like they got beat with the Swedish ugly stick!

What the hell kind of LSD were the designers on in the early 70's to have abandon cars like the P1800ES ?

They produced the 1800s for a fucking long time. The ES in particular was neet, but pretty darn niche. They didn't sell many at all. Aside from the swanky 70s hatch ass, the ES was a really dated design. Everything about the car was ancient except for the fuel injection. That and they weren't cheap!

I wouldn't call the 240 beautiful, but it's pretty standard sanely styled 70s fair.

"I wouldn't call the 240 beautiful, but it's pretty standard sanely styled 70s fair"

What are you comparing it to ?

Chevette, Gremlin, Pacer, Dart, Cutless, Granada, Cordoda, etc... ?

Or are you making a comparisson 1970's European cars ?

I'd be curious, what other 1970's European cars do you think share the "standard sanely stryled 70's" to the 240 ?

I had always thought it was uniquely brick like, unlike any other.

Except for a lowered VW Micro bus which looks like a loaf of bread.

Are you being serious Gene? I can't tell winking smiley

I just can't see how resurfacing a flywheel could fix an overdrive problem.

Atta boy!

The ads mentions an issue with the overdrive and his mechanic says the flywheel may need resurfacing. Typical totally unrelated Craigslist BS. Car ran fine when parked but won't start now, my neighbor says it needs a new license plate light.

Yeah??!! Sayz who? I say it won't start because my sister's 3rd husband's old mechanic who worked on Messerschmidts back on the Ostfront said it was the cigarette lighter, fool!

Eithe rthat or needs the washer fluid changed for summer fluid.

Has to be it!

If not change the ECU
