Impreza Open Class
September 18, 2010 06:37PM
Since they're always for sale, I figured I'd post some pics of the Impreza project.
Has a 2.2T engine and partial harness swap. Ohlins 40 mm tarmac suspension, sweet roll cage, 3" downpipe with flex and V-band on it, sweet bondo work, WRX/Forester intercooler and v-pipe already sorted, 2.5RS hood, grill, and headlights, 4.11 trans and rear diff, Sparco hood pins and steel seat mounts, big aluminim radiator with dual Spal or similar fans, and sweet cold air intake and cone filter.
Needs:
A few vacuum lines.
Some hose clamps.
The breathers dealt with.
O2 sensor and bung put into downpipe.
Rest of exhaust fabricated.
Windshield
Battery (the Optima is from the Merkur and is staying with me)
Seats and belts and go drive it.

For rally, needs skid plates and all the litte shit that scrutineers look for.
As it's a work in progress so email or PM me for more info/price.

I think it's light reflecting of the shock that's sitting inside the door of the car next to it. You can just see the top of it in a few pics..

Actually... It is caused by an improperly set white balance on the digital camera. The florescent lights in the shop have a green cast that the brain compensates for. Most people wont notice it in person but it is there.

Hahahaha, I thought about pointing that out, but I decided not to.

On that shelf next to the driver's side there's a box that contains everything needed to paint two cars lime green. Both will be painted that color if both remain in my possession.
Yeah, I did turn off the flash and adjust exposure a bit, but I didn't play around with it long enough to figure out how to change the white balance settings. Didn't really care much either. I don't own a digital camera so all pictures I take have to either be shitty cell phone ones or with a borrowed camera.

Speaking of which, Mark, where's that OK Cupid pictures statistic page? That was some cool stats.
Point and shoot add 7 years to your life. People's pictures taken with DSLR's are unanimously considered more attractive.

LOL, Not quite.

It's the post processing that usually happens after a DSLR image is made that makes people more attractive, haha. You could do it on a P&S... but then what is the point of using the P&S?

Bullshit. I'd be willing to bet that 99% of people do not post production on DSLR images.
Statistics don't lie.

Actually I was thinking of mimicing Ken's Fiesta design in the hopes that I might leach some sponsors by looking the same. I might even start carrying cases of Monster around in my truck to unhold the image. If they see my support, maybe they'll give me some support. smiling smiley
