Why does a 1985 model car have 140k on the odo? Because it was either broke down most of its life or it is such a shitty car no one wanted to drive it.

As someone who drives a '73 Capri daily, I can say that would be a good
investment IF you have an XR4Ti engine and wiring harness laying
around... It'd be as nearly as much fun to drive as my Capri...

That vintage of Volvo 240.......

Engine wiring harness.... Normal....

Starter... Common.....

I'm certain that is a real gem.

The Minute refers to that Civic's 1/4 mile time.

There's this for a lot less and the difference could go straight into rally gear

1992 Volvo 240 Good, but needs some work - $1500 (Columbia, MO)
image 1image 2image 3image 4image 5image 6image 7image 8
This 1992 Volvo 240 still works and comes with: new battery (2012), working radio and AUX input, new tire rotors, and cold A/C. The car has great, comfortable seats and seat belts work. However, there are a number of fix-ups (required to get state safety certified) that would be great for someone who likes to work on classic cars!

REPAIRS NEEDED: the car has started to occasionally stall (might be the idle control valve), odometer stopped at 114K miles, wiring to brake lights needs to be replaced, rear right door handle is broken, front right door speaker broken, front tires need to be realigned, and the car leaks oil.

Because of these repairs (and our lack of mechanical knowledge), we have decided to sell our beloved Volvo to someone who would love to work on this car!

Please note we are selling this car AS-IS and will not be getting the car state certified before the sale. The buyer will need to make the repairs before certification.

We're asking $1500, but are definitely willing to negotiate! Make us an offer!

I'd rock that Volvo...still wondering what a "tire rotor" is though.....

I actually saw that Volvo last night. But I'm still trying to get my E30 sold. I probably won't be getting a second car for a really long time. And I'll probably stick with my Focus as a DD. Until I pay it off and find something stupid that I can afford to buy but not maintain.
