It's probably about 20 miles from here...looks pretty intact with just a cracked front bumper. I considered a 58 Morris that a neighbor had that was not that nice but intact and solid. $1000, but sanity prevailed.

I'd look at the Husky for a neat shop rig if it were a bit less money.

My dad brought home an Anglia when I was young. Didn't stay for long, don't know why. My first 'car' was a Thames Freighter van. 4 cyl 4spd on the column, great little rig.

Good GOD I used to live in Thames. 1.5 Ford non-cross-flow Kent...

Those 4 on the tree things went to external arms on the box to stir the gears and there was supposed to be rubber bushes in the arms to isolate crunches or sumpin so when they all rotted and fell off the rod was in a hole about 50% larger than the rod---just a mite sloppy so occasionally you'd grab 1st and reverse at same time...OOOOO!!!
Got some kick ass Michelin X radials for soem French van... easily 2" taller than the junk I had on it, ye haw 75mph cruise and some crazy MPG--or l/100km
Had a very comfy bed in back---with a fold out extension for when a sweet young thang might follow me home and wanna play Hide the zucchini.."Oooo you naughty boy, you want to put what where? I never did that before!"
Jeeezuz... 2 winters were partially spent in that thing...
As long as there was oil in it or near by it always ran...
I sometimes have dreams of the adventures in that I had...
(Like the time we arrived in Paris around 2AM and parked under the NE foot of the Eiffel Tower.. In the morning irresistible urge to "be romantic" with Linda and after a while we hear chanting of slogans and I sneak to the back window and ease the curtain back and I'm staring into the backs of the head of 4 riot Police----all the doors are unlocked--we'rer both bare ass nekkid, she's giggling What are you going to do with THAT!.....

Fortunately the Anti-nuclaire demonstration moved on peacefully--and the hundreds of cops wandered off....)

I used to park there because there were rather nice toilets there and one could SSS it nicely sorta (shit shower and shave)..

How cool, mine was red. It had been a vender wagon before and had a fold up opening on the drivers side .
