XL Peltor G78
February 19, 2014 02:39PM
Dang rule changes.

Born in August of 2007, this wonderful XL (62cm) Peltor g78 rally helmet, has seen use in approximately several rallies. It has lived a pretty sedate life and been transported in a decent helmet bag from place to place. It has not had the experience of rolling or crashing hard, but it has the scuffs and minor scratches of a thorough use. It also has a patina of dust, exhaust, and sweat from winning so much. That probably makes it worth extra, I suppose.

The British say that this is acceptable for use wherever the BS6658-85 Type A/FR standard is accepted. I won't make any claims that your series can or can't use it because that's your job. Do your research, son!

It is endowed with the D-ring connectors for my Safety Solutions/Simpson Head and Neck saver. To be honest, they are pretty loud when they rub against the helmet. I can include an extra pair (minus one screw) if you ask nicely.

The intercom is the best intercom I have ever used. The noise canceling and soundproofing let me take naps on transits. The stupendous microphone let me yell at my brother and gently encourage other drivers. And it never went bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz or beeeep beep boop boop cksssshhssshs.

Enough small talk, let's get to the pictures.

$222 shipped for rally friends in the US. $247 USD shipped for rally friends in Canada. Paypal is the way to pay. No I will not cash your cashier's check for $8000 extra or send this to any other country.
When I get bored of this not selling here, it's going on the eBay. Offers will be entertained with girly drinks and party games. Really low offers will be referred to the principal for Saturday detention.

I apparently got a really, REALLY, good deal on the two used G78's I picked up from Ebay a few months back.

negative. I got a M and a L. The Med felt bigger to me (as the seller also said he thought they were mislabeled) than the Large, but my prospective co-driver says the Large feels bigger to him. I think it's a head shape thing more than head size...
