Volvo 240 goodies and shell/engine
April 06, 2014 08:35PM
I was building a 240, but life and buying a house has got in the way. Selling some parts I have around and the car if anybody wants it.
First is a Volvo 240 steering wheel adapter. $65 shipped in the US.

Next is a set of RX7 calipers I was going to use for a swap. $150 shipped in the US.

Last is the car. I was planning on sending it to pick n pull, but I figured I'd offer it here first.
1976 Volvo 244. Orange. Only rust is in the rear spare tire well. The trunk floor was rusty but I put in a panel to replace it. Swapped in a 1990 B230f with a shaved down head and IPD VX cam and I think it has a 4.10 rear end.
Was running but took it to a rally cross and I think the timing belt skipped a couple teeth and possibly bent a valve. I heard these engines are non interference so maybe it didn't break anything and just needs a new timing belt. Transmission and drive shaft have been sold. All the interior is stripped and I built a center switch/fuse panel for the dash. $500 or best offer, or it's going to pick n pull at the end of the month.

I believe I have a buyer already for the adapter, so it is tentatively sold. I'll let you know if that changes.

damn, wish you were closer. I would be eying up the entire front end off this thing. Particularly that flat hood.

What would you want for the vx cam?

If anybody is interested in a Volvo r-sport cluster, I posted mine up on eBay. It's been cleaned, repainted, and everything works.

Before it goes to pick n rip, let us know what they are offering. That place is a joke. I was there Saturday, and had to pay $27 fucking dollars for 3 sections of carpet that were maybe a square foot each. The guy in front of me payed $57 for a tail light and a few connectors. Whats with the core charges on everything at the junk yard?

Rant over.

Yeah trying to think where I could find a trans quickly.

My Texas cousin should be flying up in a week or so to go pick up a 740 turbo wagon as a first step. He has no car and wants that as a future service rig... I can't have more dead cars here though or I woulda snagged it already.
Orange
Round lights.
