I don't have any children, but I'm thrilled that my goddaughter wants to get involved. She worked Flying Finish at Mt Hood with me this year, and she's been codriving TSD's for me here and there since she was 13. She'll be getting a car for her birthday, and Todd Lengacher lives right up the road and told her he'd teach her how to "drive" on the 20 acres. I plan to have her doing rallyx and autox as soon as she's got her license and whatever vehicle she ends up with all fixed up (they plan to buy her something needing fixing, she works on her dad's jeep with him and wants a car she can learn to work on herself)

anyone know where they can get a justy for cheap? figure it'd make a great first car since she snowboards and heads up to hood pretty often and it'd make a great beginner rallyx car too

....

Thats not what I meant. She' 16, just got a license (I guess) and Alan is her dad. I would find that a stressful job to be co driver for my 16 year old daughter. In a rally car.

We have been doing TSDs together since she was 11. As Adam mentioned, we are doing the Monster's Revenge TSD this weekend. I asked her if she wanted to drive this time around (she got her driver's license two weeks ago), but she wasn't interested.

That's about how old I was when I started doing TSD's with my cousin. Some of us take a little longer to decide to be a driver.

There are a few women in the NW TSD rally scene. TSD is a great way for anyone to get started. I just wish that I could get my wife interested!

I learned about them from my parents, they used to run them. I have a friend who just got into doing them and he's codriving for a female. The cousin I ran with was female. And of course, I am and so is my goddaughter. I just wish more women would get into some of the other aspects of the rally world. My mom proved to me at a very young age that a woman can and will win if she really wants to and has the talent. If as many women got out there and drove competitively as men, I think we'd find that a good chunk of them were talented, they just don't go out and try it and do it and find out.

Hey I can't answer for the others but I's a very happily married guy and have two unbearably sweet little daughters, one about 1 1/2 (Natasha) and one just past 3 1/2), so no time for extra ba-boom ba-boom ba-boom on the side!!!


(For that matter, no time for ba boom at all with the 2 girls crawling and jumping all over all the time, so I know's how's ya feel!)(Best birth control there is: Kids)
