Here's a video with a nice inset gear selector/shift light/speedo. It is a blue Subaru, but hey.

I always liked in the Richard Burns days of the Peugot when they had the gear display on in car video.

For some reason, watching this made me think of this.

OMFG. Just another reminder how fucking slow we are over here. You just don't get the sense of speed from "in-car" here that this video shows.

Dave, that Arctic Rally stage is also a HUGE reminder of why we should be allowed decent STUDDED TIRES!

I mean this is a different thread but its always struck me as pitiful to watch the US snow events and know how slow people are cornering and how utterly nonexsistant braking is----and then read BS about "high speeds etc" when the average MPH for the winner works out to be 41mph and for the BULK OF THE MID PACK drivers about 33-34mph.

It isn't exciting to watch, it isn't exciting to do.

No up there where you guys have snow on the ground 9.5 months of the year and 2 months of thaw, there are certainly higher speeds but its because the damn roads chose are essentially STRAIGHT for LONG stretches (judging from my experience at Perce Niege and Rally Qubec).

THIS SNOW SHEET AND CAMERA WORK IS KICK ASS.
