Rally Car:
under construction

Re: doesn't anyone rally chat anymore?

Rally is weird.
I am part of several other very active forums in other topics that do not seem affected by facespace.

Maybe the nature of rally attracts loners. Or mostly new people who don't stick around.

I will submit a vote for a Tapatalk friendly forum though, I check into the other places daily on Tapatalk and only occasionally here.

Maybe we need a closed forum like the local biker club, only way in is to meet someone in person at an actual event. And folks that don't participate get flushed.

Perry.

The slowdown seems to have hit almost any type of message board, but for some reason car related seems to have taken a bigger hit.

Specs from today-(note the record # of users date and guests-if they show it):

Rallyanarchy

-Online Users
Perry , RALLYRS
Record Number of Users: 33 on February 17, 2012
(too bad it doesn't list guests-but I'd guess 2 or 3 at most at any given time-who knows?)

Umm...a tad quiet

fatrat, kensuelo

Pretty pathetic these for days but a little bit of activity-Wow-look at those 2010 #'s!

...

Car forums I used to be on daily(mostly lurking)back when I had my XR's

merkurclub.com

In total there are 69 users online :: 3 registered, 0 hidden and 66 guests (based on users active over the past 5 minutes)
Most users ever online was 509 on Sun Mar 31, 2019 10:32 am

Above #'s actually not that bad considering old obscure car-right?!

...

Turboford

7 guest(s)

Again-if you look in there-not too bad considering ageing thunderchickens,Xr's and svo's are the subject

...

Focus forums that I used to be on alot, and I'm starting to check out again

Focaljet(was my goto for focus related since 2005)

No user specs- but almost nothing since 2017 or so..maybe a post or 2 on the entire site per day-it's done! DEADSVILLE!

Other newer sites look to have taken the newer RS and ST guy$$ away to make it even worse.

Site is doing pretty good considering car msg board in 2019!

I regged there the same time as focaljet, but went on there much less.
Numbers obviously way down from 2016,but I'd call this thriving-especially comparing the focaljet #'s.

I can't explain the difference in failing between the 2 sites..perhaps marketing and the name?

..

I'm a "Gun Nut" too and I'm on Calguns daily(posting/lurking) and "arf.com" and m4carbine(lurking)weekly.

Check out these stats.

Of course, when you have member #'s like this-Members: 304,072, Active Members: 23,112,the site is till going to be pretty active

The 2013 #'s most likely reflect alot of pre-election worry of gun bans-besides the other normal factors.

...

AR15.com

4748 Users Are Currently Online
There are 1224 Team Members, 931 Members, and 2593 Guests.

No history-certainly down from a few years ago,but not bad.

m4carbine.net

Currently Active Users
There are currently 2257 users online. 448 members and 1809 guests

Most users ever online was 13,853, 05-18-16 at 20:23.

Holy crap-look at the 2016 numbers!

...

With the gun sites some will say the old fart/facebook hate is a huge factor-and I agree to some extent, but I know for a fact there are alot of youngins coming aboard too.

I think car people for some reason gravitate away more from message boards as a rule-I dunno.

I don’t think you can blame FB for the downfall of RA, SS, and DI.

FB does have the great ability to block or ignore certain people, which this forum does not.

I just checked the Volvo forum that’s pretty active (Turbobricks.com)

290 users viewing.
40 something active members on the forum at this time.

Of course you can blame bastardin Facebook. Those cunts with their data harvesting and tailored algorithms to influence and steer societies across the world to their paymasters needs are absolutely accountable for people becoming insular, divided and less willing to share and engage in broader debate.
Propaganda works ffs, it's plainly obvious by the diminishing input from folk that share a common interest.
Wake the fuck up people and get rid of that insidious shite from your devices.

Unification for a common cause will save rally!
