I know that Hirvonen hit a rock that wasn't on the notes. Very disappointing. Don't know about the rest though.

WRC Subaru's and mouth breathers
April 05, 2008 04:39PM
Is it coincidence or did Peter Solberg improve as soon as he adopted Chris Atkinson's Mouth Breathing technique?

Is it a requirement for Subaru drivers to mouth breathe?

Jeremy Clarkson descirbes WRX and STi owners... “He breathes through his mouth and has short legs, no forehead and one, possibly lacerated, eye”.

According to Wikipedia
Social perception

Mouth breathing in public is sometimes considered to be less socially acceptable or attractive than nose breathing, as mouth breathers can appear to have a somewhat "slack jawed" look, and mouth breathing can cause or exacerbate bad breath. Consequently, the term "mouth breather" may be used in a pejorative sense for someone lacking in hygiene or intelligence.

If you had to ride in a pile of shit you wouldn't want to breathe through your nose either.
