Look RichardTaff, it was a TRUE OBSERVATION that many many MANY including Rally America owner Havir entered the sport in turbo AWD cars, flip them repeatedly, and then constantly advise OTHER people not to.
Niday did 2-3 events in a stockish Golf then built and expensive, stupid Subaru which he did nothing with.

Are you saying that's not true Morris?

That WILL be your new name since that's the role you're taking.

If you have something TRUTHFUL to say then say it,
Your innuendos and plain lies are getting tiresome., and you are contribiting nothing original or worthwhile here.

You're going to wake up and find your name changed to something resembling that lampoonish curmudgeon if you don't clean up your act and quit being a troll.

I've heard from a few people over the years that if you send a letter into JB at R-A asking for a rookie waiver that you can get one farily simply.

Besides Jon, run NASA. A lot more laid back, more miles (and smiles) per $$$, more focused on the regional competitor. Come out with us, we can share parts/service help.

Yep, Eli was flipping me shit for years and then we spoke on the phone and found we were both of this same opinion, found common ground.

How many times have i made a point of Rally Americas shitty, BULLSHITTY, APPALLINGLY crappy results and yet YEARS later, there's a thread on SS.com and yet again, special instructions on "go here then go the "The Old Site" and click this and click that
FUCK THEM if they can't be troubled to correct their shitty website.
Some "Pros" !

And if RichyTaff Miller comes and makes an excuse, fuck him too, fuckin liar.

To be fair and accurate (with as much as I know at least), I think JB started in a Fiesta, then got the Golf (I will remember shortly whose it was before he had it), and then moved on, car-wise. If I can be permitted to express my viewpoint, this seems to me this is a farily reflective of the progression that the R-A rules implement.

Mark B.

Eli,
The RA regional events are as laid back as any of the NRS events. And the RA national events are as laid back too unless you are running at the front of the field. But of course, every one could do that if they just had the proper suspension and gearing. Just ask jv.

I do have to say that in my tiny, teeny experience, scrutineering at NASA events has been easier on the competitor at NASA events, which I would, as a new competitor, prefer. That was kinda what I was getting at.

I would fully expect NRS and RA inspections to be identical at some events in the north west since the same person is doing them. Given that there is no central inspector that travels to each and every NRS or RA event, this is an area that will be different every event. That said, Mike Hurst (sound of explosion from jv) tries to make every RA national inspection the same.

Well, this thread is a little off topic now, and unfortunately it may be a moot discussion anyway. We've been getting offers on our land, and now I've found out that the BLM may be approving a 1500 acre solar farm literally next to our property which will pretty much put the kaibash on us doing virtually anything with our land. I'm pretty much bummed out right now, but am hoping we can get a decent price for our land in which case I'll be out racing instead of trying to get a viable business rally business created.

Putting aside the clear difference of rookie limitations (open 4wd car/notes), at a regional level I haven't found a difference between the feel of RA event or a NASA event other than that induced from the organizers. The organizer seems to set the tone at the regional level. That doesn't mean the NASA events aren't more laid back (I've only done Gorman and worked the HTD Ralylsprint), but my money is that if they are, its the organizer. But seriously, how more laid back can you be than Scott Bottomley who does Seed 9 (a RA regional)?

Yikes, good news travels fast, bad news travels faster. I'm surprised I haven't seen this on the CRS board at Special Stage. I considered posting it, but figured its your thing, not mine.
