I'm somewhat confused by what happened.
Did someone from SCCA HQ in Topeka come out and visit the site, or someone locally, or something else happened? Did they state specifically what they didn't like? What was it? Who is Kathy, and what does she have to do with things? |

Sounds like the start of the "Colorado Rally and Agave Sampling Horde", the perfect basis for a rally club. There have been mutterings of the "Wilton Rally Club" starting up in southern Nude Hamster, but we haven't gotten past the "pints at the pub" stage yet. But that doesn't mean you can't! In a perfect world, rallycrosses would encourage the use of second and maybe even third gear, not be the first gear slug fests they are now. Also, instead of this typical convoluted SCCA class structure being shoved at participants, we'd have FWD, RWD, AWD and $50 shitbox classes, probably fewer, but no more than that. Of course, the $50 shitbox class is intended for cars like Fiasco, my dearly departed XR4Ti street car (rusted rockers [twice patched] a failed clutch, and a cracked bellhousing were the final straws).
Of course, driving a prepped Saab 99 with Black Rocket snows a limited slip and some gears was fun, too. Hey, janvanvurpa, how much do you want for the green 96 in Stoneham? That would be one fun rustbucked to drive, I inherited a shitload of 165/15 NR09s that probably once belonged to you, and the green blends way better than the red, blue and yelllow 84 900 POS ice racer in the driveway right now (although the green tarp will probably come out soon as I move it into a strategic location). Favorite pix of my favorite car, one with rallyho jumping it, the other with my brother in law blowing it up and Eduardo Mayhem cheering it on! It's a good thing the rallyx was called off...these are exactly the kinds of things we should be trying to avoid. Obviously the red wine is clouding your memory. The top picture still gives me the chills to this day. Some irresponsible safety steward was obviously asleep at the wheel when he allowed a rallyx to be run on a surface that was less than putting green smooth. As you can all plainly see I am lucky to be here with you today after the neck whip I experienced that fatefull day. I could have been KILLED!!!
And Andrew, shame on you for knowingly sneaking you're awfull POS through tech..with it's sham of a muffler, rusted shut wastegate and wafer-thin coolant hoses. Thank God our Safety Steward Theodore Mendham was there to wave in the LifeFlight or your brother in law might not have made it... People like you, that Eduardo character and Team Brokeback Rallysport from down in Hartford make me sick. Syd, go get daddy the big glass...I need to forget this night ever happened! What, we fixed the problems for tech. My super Tuff mechaninc welded the loose strut top to the unibody, no more rattle. I had replaced the 170k mile tire rods with 120k mile tie rods, so the steering was MINT!!!
The rules said functioning exhaust for tech, they didn't say it had to last more than 1/2 a run!!! It couldn't have been too bad, I still have the Cherry Bomb sitting out behind the barn in Greenfield. Now they want some cat thing, whatever, can I borrow Inca or one of JV's boo-boos for tech? And don't get me started about that orange Saab with the super quick steering...that's just not right. Should we mention that somebody neglected to get proper permissions for the rally-x in the first picture above? Now THAT was funny when the cops showed up at the beginning of fun runs. (And wondered where they went) Seem to have forgotten a stack of 5 spoke Revolutions too. You know things weren't too lucid the last couple of years out there. I can find any fenders or doors I had out there either. Wierd > John Vanlandingham Sleezattle, WA, USA Vive le Prole-le-ralliat www.rallyrace.net/jvab CALL +1 206 431-9696 Remember! Yo Fiasco,
I think you're bein' called a crook. And it sounds like you are being accused of stealing tired old, dry rotted Hakkas. Now that's just low. The guys at Waste Management want you to stay the hell out of their dumpsters as well. ;-) Ted Mendham www.rensport.net |

"My" stack of 09s came out of the moving "sale" of rallyho, and they are cast-off cast-offs. If they were any other brand tire, they'd have been tossed (except maybe for the fact that the dump wants $4 or $5 a tire nowadays).
And the wheels and fenders? No idea. You sure they're not in one of those crates you packed NINE years ago? Andrew Steere Lyndeborough, NH KB1PJY Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/22/2006 08:37AM by fiasco. |

Hey remember these tires off your Dad's Audi that I pulled off the curbside recycle pile and drove for YEARS on?? I was just wondering what happened to the SEVERAL very fresh NR09s in the shed next to the 96 at Diane's. > > And the wheels and fenders? No idea. I think I had a buncha stuff at Grahams and I think he was smacked upside the haid by Barry and made to store them someplace.....and forgot. Only 2 fenders and 4 grilles made it here. I think any NR09s may have been used on one of Diane's cars. I had lots of fun pointing out the idiots in Mass mounted the Hakka 1s on backward on her new style 900.
Just checked my inventory. There are 6 09's on soccerballs from rallyho, and two on XR4 wheels from the XR4 you sold my brother in law (which actually were more rallyho castoffs if I remember correctly.). Most of what I have has decent tread, but they're getting dryrotted. Don't think any of these were from you. Andrew Steere Lyndeborough, NH KB1PJY |

JVA. Andy is a good boy...of this I am sure. If memory serves those 09's are a mixed bag of stuff from let's see...Sandy Liversage, Paul Detweiler (sp?) Ted Mendham...adn some other saab looney I can't seem to remember at this point. I doooooo remember drooling all over some Saab minilites at your hovel in MA once upon a time...pretty.

I don't know. Andrew and his kin showed up at my garage last weekend. First they called, I didn't answer, so I guess they assumed no one was home and showed up with two trucks. They had already stolen a generator and said they needed an engine (motor?) hoist, for papas chop shop, too. Talkin' all this redneck ghetto talk about unpimping other peoples reidz. They had some kind of dog with it's ears cut off for protection and were holding someone's mother hostage. They even started looking at my beloved Sentras like they wanted them too.

I heard some stolen cars were found in Merrimack and a chopshop busted in MA this week. Maybe Steer Enterprises had to move their opperations to the other side of the tracks.
