Will consider it. You're close by to Tim Taylor who will doubtless be drawn into it.

Aside from Dave Hintz, don't really mix with any of the local Sub-a-ratistas.

Also, Rally Anarchy comes up FAST. SS.com is really slow, or broken too often.

Well the sponsor ads seem to be heavily Subie related, so it makes sense that they're heavy and slow.

But as we know, "since they pay for the "coverage" its logical that they would get the majority of the air time".

Maybe its just that the site owners are lousy at running sites and Skye is better.

I'm no web expert, but SS.com is a mess.

I thought all the Subie people were IT professionals. :-)

Roffles. grinning smiley

That's one of the biggest irritations I have about SS.com. You open a thread and then you go log into your bank account and pay a couple bills before you even bother going back to read it. Then you type up your reply and have a smoke while it's posting. Someone get that server some anti-lag, already!

The idea that coporations are bad is just crazy. We should all forget there is something called a corporation and think about what there really is - people acting colletively towards a goal. Sometimes a self interested group is called a tribe or a commune or even a nation but it is the people that make it do what ever it is that it does no company (or Tribe, Gilild, Union, Family, Government, Club, Neihborhood, etc) ever does anything until some person comes up with an idea and presses hard to take the idea into some sort of action.

For some reason SS appears to attract posters that are like the administrators and thus we get a loose association of like people who get this act alike! Who would have thunk that?

I remember searching and searching trying to find companies that specialized in rally car products. I like how Specialstage.com is catering to them now and allowing vendor forums and banner ads for these companies. Plus, all the banner ads are rallyist owned and operated companies. Why it's had so many problems lately though is beyond me and I don't really care to be honest.

Of course when there are massive imbalances in power in a relationship then there is a huge possibility of a bad outcome if there is not something to assure the larger, more powerful entity doesn't just crush the smaller entities without even noticing.

But many people closely indentify with what they dimly percieve the Corporate, or Tribe or Union or whatever's goals are based on who can say what.
We all know that the larger entities GOALS can be at variance with the individual's well being.
In the market place, supposedly "competition" amongst companies mitigates the behavior of some big Entities or Corporations, except we know that corporations and their owners mix and match and move around and cooperate more than they compete.

So we have Regulations in an attempt to counterbalance the sheer power of the GREAT BIG vs the individual.

Pointing out that Rally America is a privately held Corporation just emphasises there is an unbridgeable gulf in the relationship between the Corporate Owner and the guy with a Golf or Xratty 2/3 finished.
And in monopololistic "markets" like Rally Sanctioning, people have little choice,
we can't just drive to the next exit and enter a competing event.

What are the administrators like?
They never speak more than a line or two.
Seems George is too busy doing something else to make that SS.com site work reliably, who knows what the "Other" Burmeister does, last and only time we heard from him here was when he was posting drunk when we first started this site.
