Currently it is being held by Salta Motorsports.

It was built for Rob Parker but Salta has the title and an open invoice so they are holding the car for the rest of the payment to finish the work...

It is currently built to PGT specifications.

I killed the motor in the golf all the time in braking, it always restarted just fine when I removed my foot from the brake. I would be left foot braking sometimes so I could not clutch.

In the long run reality always wins.

So here's a little in car. The backwards view was the sixth run of the weekend. The forward view was run 3, which was a 4:01. Audio sucks from these cameras because they are in a protective case, but you can at least hear my poor braking thanks to loud pads in the rear.

Grant,
Watching the video it looks like you react to the road rather than anticipating the road and getting the car ready to follow it.

That's possible. What it is more though I think is not knowing how the car is going to react and not having the confidence to set the car up for the corners. I don't have to anticipate the corners, I know every one. I first drove this road in a FWD Colt in 2004, then codrove in an 450 hp Audi in 05, and spectated/filmed the past two years. I can write out the stage notes from memory and can track through the whole road visually in my mind. But if you look at the backwards video of the first few corners you can see that I'm still like 1 foot out from where I should be due to lack of committment and lack of feel for the car.

John made the observation while talking to him earlier that it looks like I'm trying to drive it like a AWD or FWD car, which would make sense because that's all I've ever driven. I have a long way to go with this driver and a little way to go with the car. smiling smiley Seat time is what I need!

Glad the event went well for you Grant! Car looks great and I'm sure it'll only get better. Checked out the vid and you're right - seat time, confidence, and commitment and it'll be a wicked fast car.

As an aside - In the Co. hill climb series - which hill climb do you think has the best roads? I'd love to run one of these events in the future with my 505 - curious which one would be "the one" to drive all that way for...

BTW - Looks like PPIHC is cancelled for me - the RS200 rebuild is way behind schedule since their suppliers weren't able to provide the parts in time to get enough testing in - so 09' is a possibility if all still goes well...

Buffalo Peaks/Buena Vista is easily one of the favorites for the Rally Class. It is held every other year and has by far the most stage like road.

Otherwise, Lands End in Grand Junction (longest event in the series) is the other popular choice.

Any chance the dying is a vacuum leak? Started to occured just after rasing boost pressure and happens when dipping back to an idle.

As always IMHO
