I've been advocating for removal of airbags, sound deadening, automatic transmissions and car stereos for years as one of the best ways to reduce the number of accidents on the roads. Finally research that supports some of my claims. Probably applicable to rallying as well.

I had always suspected that this was true.

Totally, Grant. Especially among individuals between the ages of 16-21. All drivers should know how to operate a manual transmission and drive without a radio.

This Volvo I've been driving has the bitch-shifter in it, but it's a benefit to me now, as there are dick for cup holders and no radio. Even smoking a ciggie on the way to work can be daunting, as the morning caffeine dose has to sit just right between the e-brake handle and passenger seat.

Meanwhile, I'm watching Mary Jane Rottencrotch in the Explorer in front of me with the disabled plate swerve from one lane to the next, vying for position, while she applies her mascara. :rolleyes

We are becoming the idiocracy.

It was also a common catch all name in the Soth in the early-mid '60s,
that's where I first heard it.

Hey nice car in your signature.

Thanks, the 81 Volvo is a project car that I picked up from another Rally fan that needed to get rid of it. Unfortunately some A$$ broke all the windows out of it. I am planning on fixing it up for RallyX, and TSDs and maybe someday to Rally.
