This is for 323 fans... All the inspiration I need to build a monster 323 like this one. It never really got it's chance to run in it's day, but this thing sure flies!

Looks like I've tumbled onto Dave Kern's video stash on Youtube. That thing absolutely rips! I didn't know it. I never really saw the car running right. But man! The Garrett BB turbo wakes that motor up and the dogbox tranny makes gearchanges lighting. There's like no latency with this car. Just BAM! There ya go!

Oh yeah! And plus MAN CAN THAT GUY DRIVE!!!

I miss Alcaraz's GTR that was run in Canada.

Really too much power for the short wheelbase on the snow and slippy stuff. Made some great video though.

This commercial featuring Dave driving was shown on Altitude during Race Central for a while.

He's got a new Evo now. It's awesome. Almost 400 hp on E85. Ohlins, custom big brakes that fit under 15s, and lots of other neat stuff. He's got a pretty radical aero pack for it for Pike's Peak in two weekends.

Here's some in-car of the new Evo. The thing is ridiculous.

Thanks for the kind words!

The GTX was for sale for 6 months, with hardly a nibble...could've been yours. smiling smiley I'd love to post my in-car from PPIHC 2007, but media restrictions prevent it. If you ever find yourself in the Denver area, I'd be happy to show it to you.

We'll be in the red/black Evo #9 this year. See you on the hill!

Dave

Did I miss something? Where's the video? I've searched google for hours looking for videos of that car.

I have the video produced from TV2Go years back of the Canadian championship. One episode of a Rally Quebec (1997 I think), a snow rally, they refer to the GTR as the 'turbo bomb' because the boost would catch Alcaraz off-gaurd and spin the car into a snowbank and the producers throw the 'stuff timer' clock up on the screen to count how long he'd be stuck for. Also a clip shot from the car following him or his car where both cars stuff it and avoid each other.

Is there a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow?

Will have to either borrow another VCR to duplicate you a tape to send you or figure out how to get on YouTube. I'm technically challenged w/ no gizmos so the old fashion way may be best bet.
