Oi Nick, I have had to translate North York for a couple who live up here who were from Andover in Hapmshire when we were watching some "made in the North" BBC comedy.

They 'splained all by saying "Well you do speak Swedish after all so why wouldn't you unnderstand that North York lingo, eh?"

They alleged that the way I say FAWK shows I must have some roots up there.
So where's home exactly?

I'm pretty much in the same boat as Eddie - trying to spec out a new engine. I'm tired of my puny basically-stock one. Trying to hammer out a deal with a local tuner company to build me a proper one.

For you CRS folks: yes, that means I'm leaving P-Stock. Full on CRS-2/Group 2 now.

Also trying to work out a rough schedule for next year's North Nevada Rally.

Are you working as a rally consultant on the supps, or does this mean Team O'Neil Rally may be running under NASA sanction?

I'm working as a consultant on the supps as a favor to TONR as they have decided to run under NRS. They announced that several weeks ago in a SS post but not many have commented on it. Studs will be be allowed on all vehicles. grinning smiley Motorcycles will be allowed. grinning smiley

Trying to get v1 of the supps out soon.

Cheers,
Anders

I'm hoping to do some events in 2009 if it all comes together right.

I'm working on the brake upgrade still and should have it finished up by december.
I still need skid plates made
And some major suspenders so my tires quit rubbing.

Sorry for the late reply John.
What was the "oop North" comedy you were watching?
I often find it funny that folks speaking plain English need subtitles sometimes.
I was watching a VH1 Behind the Music show about the group Oasis from Manchester and they had to subtitle everything the Gallagher brothers said. OK, it's not the "Queen's English", but still...
"The Likely Lads" was a classic northern comedy from the 70's - off the top of my head I can't really think of mamy more.
Youtube some Roy "Chubby" Brown for some Andrew Dice Clay language northern comedy too.

I am originally from just outside of Middlesbrough in the County of Cleveland.
It's in the far northeast 50miles south of Newcastle, not too far from the hometown of Guy Wilks and and older rally guy Chris Birkbeck (has a rally school http://www.gorallyschool.co.uk/ )

And for all you non-Northerners I loved this article released in Britain earlier this year.
