Good weekend for Fords
July 24, 2006 03:58PM
It was a good weekend for Escort Cosworths. Ramana Lagemann won the Maine Forest rally and Mike Whitman took the class win at the Gold Camp CHCA hillclimb event.

RIGHT...but if you look on Special Waste of Time (read "Special Brown Nose"winking smiley the title to the article and pic for the story only mention Travis P. I can't remeber a National race where the winner's photo and name was not the title of the article. I guess Ramanais NOT in the club.

Are we going to visit the same damn subject ??

You will hurt one sensitive codriver's feelings now. You will make him scream "Bloody Murder" "Liars" and such, like I did before. And nobody will be talking about how ACP kicked ass, again.

I heard the Spaghetti Boy got a penalty for late check in to parc expose and dropped to 4th overall from winning the rally. Unless it was for a mechanical reason we better get the tar and feathers ready for his codriver whilst we're at it.

Gee, I wonder who would write a story about the second place finisher. You don't suppose this information "Author: Chris Yandell -- Subaru" would explain why the winner wasn't shown in the picture either. Nah, the fact that the story was a Subaru publicity piece has nothing to do with it.

The official RA press release is now the first article on SS, it's just a function of who submits it first in terms of display. Nice picture of the Cossie to boot.

I was thinking of writing up a press release for it just to see if they'd put it up. Something like "Decade old Ford walks all over factory Subarus..."

I felt like a huge Ford perv at Victor when Mike had the car up in the air and I was pointing out all the sweet Ford Group A stuff to Steve Bis.
"Check out the Group A magnesium trailing arms."
"See how the studs have the steel sleeve and M14 threads."
"Check out how beefy the Group A inserts are on the wheels."
"4 pot AP's front and rear. See how huge the rotors are."
"See the adjustable TCA/Compression strut in the front."
"Oh, check out how this oil system works. Just like I was talking about on our way up here."
Etc. Press release on the way. With maybe some Paddy inspired comments.

Try closer to 13 years old version of an early 80s shell.

And a person who hasn't rallied in god knows how long.
