Sami is pronounced sah-me in Arabic, not sammy.

The Indian/Hindi name Samir (or Sameer) is often shortened to sammy, at least when you're friends. It means wind.

That's more than likely down to someone mentioning the word arab in this thread. cool smiley

The CIA probably homed in on it and considered Sammi's driving as a threat to US citizens, and to be fair they have a point, although I am not sure a person of any nationality or religeous beliefs could consider themselves safe with Sammi behind the wheel and in close proximity. grinning smiley

I think he is the one who posted it! Garry Gill shared it on facebook and the driver said something like they were leading the rally until stage 13 when they broke a driveshaft and had to dnf.
