The most useful thing in the whole book for a rally person is the gushing praise of the Ford book that the increasingly erratic Dave Clark sneeringly dismisses, the book Staniforth refers to as "156 solid gold pages"... Its down toward the bottom of 2nd page, first column.....

So obviously it must be a useless book if all it says is that Ford Escort rally Preparation" is SOLID GOLD, either that or somebody's comments continue to be mostly contentless jibes.

Ha, ha! The pot calling the kettle black, love it. Please tell me where I sneeringly dismissed it. I must have missed that. It's a great book and very informative.

My comment was just a contentless jibe. Have you really completely lost your sense of humor, John?

No but I have lost patiernce with people who come here just to taunt and derail like you and Lane and this schmuck "Rally-racin' Ned Flanders".
People are looking to build shit that works and that they can afford to run,
you don't care cause you're paying the rent with other things.

Innocent Noobs don't know you and when you make un-funny comments that are some jab at this place, and I guess sarcastic comments that "The ONLY source allowed is____________ " what are noobs who have never seen any book going to do? Waste money on books with virtually 1% content that they can use? That's funny?

You're happy I guess doing whatever you're doing and uninterested in helping with any of the years of experience you've accumulated and I guess you aren't interested in ever doing another event again---and I still don't know how long your blocks and rods and cranks are supposed to sit at Foster's where I paid the bill so he's not out his time---but guys here are trying and just like I helped you when you began, I try to help them.
You could too advise people to do smart things, things that you know work better, which make cars more fun and more durable rather than come and make "funny" comments that really aren't funny.

Maybe you've just spent too much time working on other people expensive playthings and you've lost track of how all of us managed to do anything before.

John you derail threads all the time, and then when someone tries to get it back on track, you sneer at them for not allowing some related information in the thread.... if it even IS related.

Timmay Timmay Timmay, is this all you can contribute? No advice, no "don't do as i did" for the other kids living at home? Nothing but more complaining?

Have you EVER had any insight on anything here except complaining?

Maybe stuff is related, and maybe its your complete 100% lack of any experience that doesn't allow you to see connections...Ever think of that?
Or all you so wise that you know everything and "get" everything?

John, you certainly have a lot of misguided presumptions and opinions of what I do or don't do. Just because I work in the glamorous world of professional road racing eye rolling smiley part time that means I can't help out new guys in rallying also? Or because I made a joke I don't are about sharing my knowledge and experience? Can't I do both? Your logic baffles me.

Also, If I owe you money for engine work then you should send me a bill or at least call me and tell me how much it is! I can't read your mind! I was under the impression my parts were still in some corner of your garage gathering cat hair. You know where to reach me.

Short answer to every post you'll make towards me after this, surprise! I dont give a fuck! You're a fucking god complex douchebag who cant even grasp the idea that someone could deviate from the ford books and volvos and still have fun.

Example? You jumping down Dave's throat for making a joke about your blind faith in that book. Pull the stick out of your ass so while you're coughing up your lungs you'll be able to sit down.

Im sensing a lot of sexual tension between you 3... perhaps we should start a collection on here, to get you 3 a room, and a tape measure where u can all whip out your dingdongs, and finally get this cock measuring contest over with , so NO ONE has to read thru pages of your bickering anymore just to find the nuggets of info hidden that may be helpful.

I be sorry as a muthafucka I did, still sorry I did n' hustled ta peep what tha fuck I holla'd a lil' bit better, or at least try to.

It's a bit dated, but there's probably a nugget or two in there.

And do you read the magazine "Racecar Engineering" ?

Ahhhhh........ So you're soooooo upset about this that you feel the need to post it on this here internet forum; obviously as a lame attempt to embarrass Mr Clark.

Nobody cares but you....... Though this is obviously sooooooo under your skin that you can't be bothered to pick up the telephone and dial the same telephone number that Dave's had for many years now and speak with him about it.

And do you read the magazine "Racecar Engineering" ?

So I have had a subscription to Racecar Engineering for a couple of years now. While it is a great magazine with lots of good information about racing. And they do a good job of covering rally at least the tech at the top end. The world they live and race in is not the world that we live and race in. I don't think anyone is US rally can talk with any validity about their areo development programe or the bespoke carbon fiber chassis that they just had laying around and decided to use it as the basis for their new GT86 race car.

I know in the article this month about the new Fiesta R5 the engineers that they interviewed were complaining that they had to redesign the roll cage since the FIA said they could not use their WRC design and it took several weeks of penning a design and then sending it to Ford R&D to have torsional regitity testing done on a super computer. They were also complaining that the rule "forced" them to use the stock head light assembly and thus had to compromise their ideal from suspension geometry because of it.
