New place, new roads - should be a great one. This is the first time in a long time for an event featuring 100% new roads - what we've seen and heard promises it will be a fantastic event with challenging stages!
So, help the organizers out and let the know your plans!! Less than a week from the early entry deadline...and here's where we're at! All of you Mount Hoodlams jonesn' for some action - here's your chance! Want to stow your car north of the border between Rocky and Big White? It isn't quite the 'false advertising' you think it is. If'n you took the time to read you'd find the spirit of the thread in the 'meta message' of " So, help the organizers out and let the know your plans!! Less than a week from the early entry deadline...and here's where we're at!"
I've done this on Special Stage for years and is reasonably effective. It's 'thinking out loud,' so to speak, and a way to draw out answers from people who might be on the fence or who may or may not be coming but the rumour mill is saying otherwise. It does tend to push people to get their entries in earlier. 'Expected' are all people who have said at one time or another that they were going to enter but who haven't gotten an entry form in. 'Unknowns' are people who have entered either PFR or RMR last year and who it would be reasonable to see enter, but I've seen absolutely no indication from. (I should add people who entered Cochrane this year but not PFR, if there are any.) Ken and Seb wouldn't make ANY of these lists, of if they did they would likely show up as a TBA/TBA until they were confirmed. The added benifit is it can also start some conversations early in the game about who might not have a co-driver and builds a bit of excitement. Looks good to best last year's entry... Some notable names coming up from the south. With Byron Garth and Carl Decker showing up can Hendo be far behind?
