So, as this season R-X wise has been a complete bust, I was trying to figure out what else to do for next years events. In the hopes to do more rally related activities, I have bought a car to use for SCCA road rally and TSD rallies.
As you all know by now, I am a fan of the 80's rally cars. Audi Coupes, Peugeot 205's, Mazda 323's, and Saabs, specifically. What I ended up finding was a good condition 88' 323 GTX.
The car is in good running condition, but needs some minor bodywork, and a basic Maaco paintjob, to be a daily driver.
It has the aftermarket front brake conversion, coilovers with camber plates, and a full turbo-back aluminized exhaust already on it. The previous owner also just installed a brand new fuel pump as well.
So once the rest of the upgrades to the GTI are done to be competitive next season, this will get new front fenders, a set of Compomotive or OZ alloys, and a new paint job. I am going to do my best to not do anything other than those items... lol.
