My sister owns the previous generation overseas and is very happy with it. It has luxuries most luxury cars here dont have. Obviously the NA market versions are different and they do not bring the 1.6lt she has over here.

It seems like a very solid car. A bit anemic.. but I can fit in it comfortably (6'3) and it's got lots of usable space. The styling isn't hideous and the price is reasonable.. so looks like it's her new car (she likes it a lot as well)

It's down to options and transmission now I guess.

She has and didn't like it..

Frankly I don't really care too much. I've had to divorce myself as much as possible from the whole girlfriend car situation.. she does what she does and I try and live with it.

I'm just glad I fit comfortably in the Astra and it's not a used Golf.

Man what a competent little chassis that thing is. It's not the fastest car in the world, but the suspension is amazing.

There is no sedan as far as I know. Definitely not here.

2 door and 4 door wagon/hatches are all that are available.

She got the 4 door "hatch".

I don't know about the sales figures.. but that doesn't surprise me. It's a fantastic car.. my only complaints are the things that are "too european" like the cup holders.

I swear European car designers/engineers get off on designing the most asinine possible cup holders.
