I was all smiles when I read that in my print version. Naked shorts are bad news in my mind. Well that is until I want to hedge something...

Still at the end of the day a short seller is adding no value to the company they are 'investing' in and hedging could likely be done by messing in options or futures rather then in shares anyway.

In the long run reality always wins.

Except if the've done well,they own the lockers,the building and likely the team the jocks play for. If the jocks are on a personal contract, they own the jocks too.
