Moon shot for HELP!!
March 02, 2009 09:42PM
As many of you sort of know who I am. I'm 24 and doing my own company making steel
products but my shop is under 700 sq feet and its killing my productivity, I would
like to ask any and all of you if you know anyone that has a empty shop or shop
that's hurting for business That would be able to rent some space and use my
equipment and skills for rent. This is a total shot in the dark but I'm hurting bad
and running out of ideas of how to keep up this dream of building steel parts of all
sorts I want to serve all of you and want a way to get more out to the masses. The
tooling I have can do most of anything you can dream up fabrication wise with cnc
plate cutting and a 14 ton tubing bending and an array of steel working tools.
Thanks to any one that reads this if some way something comes of this post I will be
forever great full to the opportunity!

have you thought about looking for space in the sodo or georgetown districts of seattle? They've gotta be cheaper than redmond.

You know, if you had items for sale with prices on your website (such as suby rear subframe and links!) People could actually buy some stuff giving you the capital to go on to other projects. You have amazing skills but I see all these half finished products with no definate answer as to when they will be available. Is the suby SF/Links finalized? then update the website.

If you build it, they will come.

This!!!

I will need a power steering braket for my Volvo pretty soon as well as some other custom (or at least fab parts).

But without prices and not being sure you even want to make some more, I might as well go see the local guy... and will probably end up paying 3 times what it's worth!

Yeah, finish a project or two that can make some quick cash.

Finish the Subaru rear x-member.

I think you could take that T5 mount for the XR4 and get it under Moostangs pretty quickly, as there isn't a really good solution for keeping that T-5 in place that I know of for that application (from my exhaustive 3 minutes of ebay research).

You've definitely got a good deal of talent, and need to get a product or two in production to develop some income. Focus on one or two things for a little bit.

Note: this "advice" IS coming from a guy who hasn't finished a car-related project of any substance in a decade...

Andrew,
Ya helped finish a Sub-a-rat project, if that had any substance. Thanks!

And isn't buying running things and beating the crap out of them more rewarding, anyhow?

;-)

See there you go with your Ebay store. If'n I was building an XR4Ti I'd seriously buy 2 of everything you have on your site right now.

BUT if you had the suby stuff up I bet you could sell a subframe a day for atleast 2 weeks.

Keep plugging away, your work is fantastic.
