I'm getting a new laptop and would like to buy a LEGAL copy of MS XP. Hate Vista shiit.
Prefer in LA.

tell me about it. I have a laptop at home with Vista and I had to buy an off-lease laptop with XP to run my engine management.

Windows 7 is apparently good. I have a friend running a beta version and really likes it. Probably going to put it on my laptop soon.
I bought XP for my old computer on ebay with good results.

We just bought a couple of Dell laptops off of their small business website. They still have XP.
