Kinda cool. The pedals must just be for looks or they have some sort of bizarre clutch mechanism. The elbowing and resulting agricultural tour was interesting. Rally needs to figure a way to have fender to fender action.

How, slalom dude is nuts.

Gene, I dunno whats up with the pedals, because I didnt think big wheels have free wheels.... Everyone I had (Yes, I can remember taking them down the hill I live on hahaha... with all 3 plastic wheels.....) was a fixie. If the wheel turned, the pedals turned. It was BRUTAL trying to slow the fucker down sometimes.

I can't see this message, but guessing it's the big wheels. They're $125-140 to purchase. We have 2 of them already here in Colorado and 4 more that are on their way. Injury is certain. Goal is to race down from Devil's Playground to Glen Cove on Pike's Peak on them. Also down Lookout Mountain just outside Denver.
Oh, there was also talk of team jousting where each team is a scooter pulling a big wheel and the big wheel guys have jousting poles. Sounds like a really good way to get some serious injuries hey.

^^ sick.

Grant...my gf just found out she might be going to Denver mid-september (the 18th) for some speaking thing (she's the PR manager for www.linkedin.com)

anyway, her brother is out there so we might make a trip of it. I'll let you know when we get closer to september. Anything rally-related going on over there the weekend of the 18-20th?

Yes there is actually a pretty cool event going on that weekend. smiling smiley

Steamboat is a fun town (good restaurants, natural hot springs close in, decent bars) and Rally Colorado is quite a fun event and pretty easy to spectate. Laid back schedule with not too early of a start and finishes before dark.

Aha, the pedals do work. Very interesting. The front hub looks pretty small but has some sort of clutch in it. Pretty cool.
