So I'll start posting any stories and pics to here.
Last night, after drinking all day long, we decided to ride the scooters out to Steve Bis' house around 12:30 am. They're asleep and won't come let us in so we toss their patio furniture into the backyard and start the ride home. Come upon a bridge over a creek and I'm pretty sure there's a trail along that creek that we can take for a few miles. Almost right away the trail forks. One side goes up to the road and crosses. The other side goes under a bridge and says "Horses Only". So of course, that's the way we're going for sure! Pin it and away we go on a single track road. Then it gets gross. Literally. Huge amounts of mud and water, but just keep it pinned and make it through to the other side. Problem when we get there. I lost a shoe. (flip flop). So we go back through looking for it. Well our first tracks have filled with water so it's even grosser through the second time. Can't find the shoe, covered in mud, so we press on. We're pinned around 35 on this dirt path, literally hundreds of rabbits running around and in front of us. Mark said he hit at least two. I can close many times. Suddenly our path is blocked by fence. It has a break in the fence, but it's on the rocky hill. I'm like let's go that way to the left around those trees and find a path again (the bike path was long gone and we'd been riding on game trails for a while now.) Mark's like, fuck that, lets carry the bikes down this rocky embankment and back up and around the fence and keep going. So that's what we do. A ruckus weighs about 270 lbs and I'm barefoot. Ow. Just ran over my foot and twisted my ankle. Damn these prickly weeds. Finally get both around after about 15 minutes and back on the go. Ha. Fence ends in like 50 feet and we're right where I'd pointed and said we should go. Make it home incident free. Wash of my legs with the hose then take a shower. Laying in bed icing my ankle now. It's a pretty good sprain. Anyhow, here's some cell phone pics.
