And don’t even think about buying foreign. Everybody knows all those foreign cars are shifty and amoral. What? Don’t look at me like that. It’s a fact:

Now that you’ve acquired your perfect vehicle and you’ve got all your tools, it’s time to drink a lot. That’s about 80 percent of the reason people even own cars.

damn nice car.
Just like the Xratty, you have a basically excellent shell which is "furrin" but with a motor that is so common that most believe it is domestic.
The Ford V4 is just a shorter version of Ford 2600 V6, but most of the internals from the later 2,8 or even 2,9 V6 can be used with advantage....but every one of those V6s have been made on the same production line as when they started in Cologne back in 1961..
The Xratty 2,3 SOHC was made in Lima Ohio in 1973 then all the tooling was sent to Fords new plant in Tabaute, Brazil so since 1974 the 2300 was Brazillion made and they made a brazillion of them.

But try and tell that to the normal "consumeroid" and they'll get all "Buy 'merikun!" on you..

I like the "Don't put my flag on your foreign car" bumper stickers... on vehicles I know damned well weren't made in the US.
